Winemaker Charles Smith’s portfolio of wines include the following brands: K Vintners, ViNO CasaSmith, Substance, SIXTO, B.Leighton, POPUP, and half of Charles & Charles. With over 50 wines sold in all 50 states and 24 countries, Wines of Substance has grown to produce more than 600,000 cases per year, making it the largest winemaker-owned winery and fourth-largest winery in Washington State. Wines of Substance started in Walla Walla, Washington in 1999 and then expanded to the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle in 2015 with the opening of the largest urban winery on the west coast; Charles Smith Wines Jet City. A self-taught winemaker, Charles Smith has become one of the most award-winning winemakers in the world.
