Make Your Reservation Now!

Hot Cocoa with Santa- Dec 12th from 9-noon at Walla Walla Bread Co., 225 E Main.  We will have hot cocoa & delicious pastries fresh from the oven, as well as a professional photographer to take your picture with Santa!  Cost is $7 per person, kids under 2 are free.

TOYS FOR TOTS CONTRIBUTIONS STILL NEEDED!

Toys for babies and toddlers are in short supply this year-your donation will go directly to a family in our community.

 

Toys for Tots Cut-A-Thon  On Dec 13th, 1-4pm @ City Slickers, 14 W Main - Five stylists will cut hair in exchange for a new unwrapped toy or cash for Toys for Tots.

FAMILY FUN FOR ALL AGES!


Friends' Family Game Day, Saturday, December 12th, 10-1pm in the building at Main & Colville across the street from Macy's, This is a great time for children & families to spend time together having fun & playing games! Treats available and games for all ages.


Story Time with Mrs. Claus Saturday, December 12th 11AM, Die Brucke building lobby. Join Mrs. Claus and the staff of Book & Game Company in some holiday fun - stories, arts & crafts and activities for all ages!


Santa comes to Inland Octopus! Sunday, December 13th, from 11AM to 4PM.  Enjoy the delightful array of unique toys and gifts while your children share with Santa what they hope to have for Christmas!   For further information, call 526-0115.





GINGERBREAD HOUSES ON DISPLAY FOR HOLIDAYS

Visit the Marcus Whitman Hotel Lobby and see the fantastic display of Gingerbread Houses. The display includes a Christmas Train from Bright's Candies & Gifts, a 2-story masterpiece from new business Sugart, and an entire Christmas Village from the pastry chef at The Marc!

WILLOW-2 E. ROSE: Sat, Dec. 12,  Calligraphy Fair beginning at 10:30AM,  join local artist Jeanne McMenemy at Willow for personalized calligraphy requests. Willow is also having their Pre-Holiday Clearance Sale - great gift-giving ideas!


Junior Club Festival of Trees - In the Marcus Whitman Hotel lobby, Junior Club of Walla Walla has filled the lobby with mini-trees beautifully decorated and up for silent auction: Bid for your favorite miniature tree to benefit Junior Club core projects & scholarships.   Trees can be viewed until the 13th.


Hospice Tree of Life Tree & Candle Lighting Ceremony   Sunday, December 13, in the lobby of the Die Brucke building, corner of 1st & Main. Ceremony begins at 7PM. Call 525-5561 for more information.

MACY'S PARADE OF LIGHTS WINNERS

The 14th Annual Macy's Parade of Lights filled Main and Alder Streets on Saturday night.  Featuring 55 lighted floats and temperatures in the upper 20s, the parade drew crowds all along the parade route.

A panel of judges awarded trophies in 7 categories and one Grand Prize to the Best Lighted Float.

  • Best Civic or Neighborhood entry: J.U.G.S. - Just Us Girls Serving
  • Best K-8 entry: Katelyn Hassler
  • Best Collegiate entry: WWCC Welding Department
  • Best Commercial entry: Birch Creek Plant Factory
  • Best High School entry: Lincoln Alternative
  • Best Religious entry: Walla Walla City Church
  • Best Municipal entry: Walla Walla County Fire District #4

The 2010 Parade of Lights will be held on the first Saturday of December, the 4th.

 

NEXT SATURDAY!

Starbucks Holiday Reading Room - Walla Walla Public Library (238 E Alder) on Dec 19th, 10AM-Noon.  

Bring the kids to read stories, hear a tale or two, and enjoy cocoa, coffee & treats from Starbucks. Volunteers are still needed to read or be read to - come for a little while, come for the whole 2 hours! Sponsored by DWWF, Starbucks and the City of Walla Walla Public Library
