Downtown Foundation Annual Meeting

We invite you to join us in the V.I.P. section of Downtown's newest hot spot, The Red Monkey. The event will be a time to recognize outstanding members of our downtown community as well as an all around good time. Join us Thursday, November 19 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. You can purchase your tickets from the DWWF office for $20 or 2 for $30. Call 529.8755 for more info.

 

Sesquicentennial Monument Downtown

Construction will soon begin on a monument that will be placed on Main Street near the 2nd Avenue intersection. The monument is scheduled to be in place by November 17 commemoration Walla Walla's Sesquicentennial anniversary. A rough copy of what the monument will look like is below.

Graze Catering now has a Sandwich shop Downtown!


A Walla Walla favorite, Graze Catering, has opened a sandwich shop at 5 S. Colville downtown! The space previously occupied by businesses such as Cheval and Studio Opal has now been fantastically redesigned as a trendy lunch hot spot. Menu items include: Portabella Mushroom Panini with roasted red peppers, basil, and provolone; Italian Hoagie with motadella, sopprasetta, salami, and coppa; and the Veggie with hummus, feta, kalamata olives, red peppers, and sprouts. Graze will be open from 10 to 3 starting next week, and delivery is available. Please call the shop for more info at, 522.9991.

Thanks everyone who came out to this years Downtown Trick-Or-Treat. Another great time, with fun costumes, and lots of candy. Estimates placed the number between 3000 and 4000 children this year. And thanks to all our volunteers for such a great job!!!! Here are a few photos from Saturday.

Merchant's- 21 E Main St, Thursday,Nov 5th, 8-10pm, Hillstomp to perform. This Portland junkbox blues duo is infamous for digging through the dumps & forgotten backwoods of American music, recycling traditional elements into a refreshing & distinctive brand of do-it-yourself hill country blues stomp.
