This first event in Walla Walla Public Library’s winter reading program features Hannah MacDonald, of brasserie 4, as she presents “Five Quarters of the Orange” by Joanne Harris – the story of a woman who returns after World War II to her abandoned family farm in a tiny French village and runs a creperie featuring her mother’s recipes. On January 10 at 7 pm Hannah will present her thoughts on the novel and foreign food cultures. Food featured in the book will be served. The event is free and open to the community. Library cardholders are invited to check out a copy of the book to enjoy, the library has multiple copies.
