Sweet Onion Festival – it’s all happening!

This weekend is the official celebration of our official vegetable – the Walla Walla Sweet Onion.  July 14 & 15 is your opportunity to enjoy all things onion at the Walla Walla Sweet Onion Festival.  Can’t wait that long?  This entire week is restaurant week – several restaurants are offering prix-fixe menus featuring, you guessed it, the sweet onion!  Whitehouse/Crawford, the Red Monkey, Salumiere Cesario and Andrae’s Kitchen – all Downtown Foundation members! – are offering special deals on their delicious sweet onion creations.  The festival offers events all weekend long including a Dog Days Fun Run to benefit the Health Center at Lincoln on Saturday morning, Onion Olympics for the kids, contests and chef demonstrations!
